Locking Down A Memor 10

Datalogic devices use a program called SureLock to lock the scanner to only have specific applications available.

Once set up, SureLock launches at the beginning of every device start up and can only be exited using a passcode. Make sure to get the passcode from the customer, as it may be needed in the future if they choose to set this up.

1. On the apps menu, tap SureLock.

2. When prompted, accept the license agreement.

3. Give the application the permission it needs.

   It should do this automatically.

   The SureLock screen displays the default apps.

4. Add the .wms app.

   Tap the screen 5 times to be prompted for a password.

5. Enter the default password of 0000.

6. Once in the Menu, go to Quick Settings.

7. Add the .wms application.

8. Remove the SureFox application.

   This is a web browser locking application for kiosks, which is not required.

9. Leave the settings for DXU and Softspot as they may be useful for testing whenever scanners have any problems.

10. Go to SureLock Settings.

11. Optionally, change the password.

    Keep in mind that if the password is forgotten, the device will need to reset to factory defaults. The set up will then need to be re-done. Remember and store the password somewhere safe.

12. Tap Done at the bottom of the device.
